New Student Registration? Please read
Welcome to the Hellgate Elementary School District!
Hellgate Elementary is the largest independent K-8 elementary school district in the state of Montana. As it is an independent district, we serve the families that live within our district lines.
Please contact the Administrative office at 406/728-5626. You will need to provide us with the following information:
1. Student's name
2. Student's date of birth
3. Address that student resides with parent or guardian within the Hellgate Elementary District lines
Our staff will be able to answer general questions. After you are verified that the legal guardian of the child lives within Hellgate Elementary School District lines, you will be emailed a link that will provide the opportunity to register the student for 2026-2027 school year. You will be required to upload or provide:
1. Proof of residency: If you are a homeowner, a property tax statement can be printed at https://gis.missoulacounty.us/propertyinformation/ . If you are renting in our district, will need to provide a current lease.
2. State issued birth certificate
3. Student's Immunization records
As our administrative assistants are on a well deserved summer break through the end of August, they will contact you with additional information once they have reviewed the online registration for your child.

Health Reminders for 2026-2027 School Year
Summer is busy for families. Please let this serve as a reminder that all student immunizations must be up-to-date before the new school year begins. All rising 7th grade students need to have their Tdap immunization. A copy your child's immunization record can be dropped at the school office before school starts. The school is not notified by your doctor's office they have received an immunzation.
All students that need to take medication at school need to have the correct, updated forms completed before medication can be distributed for 2026-2027 school year.
Summertime is also a great time to get a sports physical for your child who plans on participating in Hellgate sports. Students must have an updated, signed sports physical to participate in Hellgate sports.
