What will you see on your ballot?

Hellgate Elementary has three open Trustee positions, each for a three-year term.

Registered voters residing in the school district may file a Declaration of Intent and Oath of Candidacy form.  Candidacy filing opens December 12, 2024.

Completed forms can be filed with the District Business Manager at the Hellgate Elementary Administration Office, 2385 Flynn Lane, Missoula, MT. Forms must be filed prior to 4 p.m. March 27, 2025.

NOTE: 
Pursuant to 20-3-305, MCA, a Declaration of Intent for a trustee position must be submitted to the school district clerk no later than 40 days before the election. 

NOTICE TO CANDIDATES: All candidates campaigning for school trustee offices in first-class districts
located in counties with populations of 15,000 and more or in county high school districts having
student enrollments of 2,000 or more must file a Form C1/CA. Candidates must work directly
with the Commissioner of Political Practices to file the C1/CA form and any other required forms 
to appear on the ballot. Pursuant to 13-37-225 MCA all candidates must file these forms electronically.

What will you see on your ballot?

General Fund Levy: $200,000

The Hellgate Elementary Board of Trustees is requesting an increase in the general fund over-base levy to support instruction and operations of the school district. 

The General Fund operating levy tax will increase by $4.21 per $100,000 of a home's assessed value.

Safety and Security Building Reserve Levy: $271,900

The Trustees are requesting a School and Student Safety and Security Building Reserve Fund Levy to support the safety and security of the school district. 

The Safety and Security Building Reserve levy tax will increase by $5.72 per $100,000 of a home's assessed value.
