Hellgate Elementary Special Education Para-Professional Position…
Hellgate Elementary is seeking highly motivated, organized, caring, and compassionate individuals to fill Special Education Para-professional positions. The special education paraprofessional will assist the special education teacher throughout the school day in addressing the needs of special education students as outlined by their Individualized Education Programs (IEP). The specific duties of a paraprofessional, include but are not limited to, providing one-on-one assistance to students; assisting students in small group instructional settings; assisting special education teachers in record keeping; assisting in adapting student activities and materials based on a student’s IEP; assisting classroom teachers with monitoring the students to ensure student safety and participation during classroom activities; potentially addressing student personal hygiene needs, and, responding to emergency situations as they arise.

EFFICTIVE DATE : August 26, 2024
QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma; previous experience with physically, emotionally, and/or mentally impaired students and/or a combination of experiences is preferred, but not required; and some post-high school training.
