Position Title: Bus Aide for Hellgate Elementary School District
Hourly Rate: $16.00 per hour
Hours: Morning Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:45 AM and Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM. Candidates can apply for either or both shifts.
Job Summary:
Hellgate Elementary is seeking reliable and compassionate individuals to join our team as Bus Aides. The primary role of a Bus Aide is to ensure the safety and well-being of students during transportation to and from school. This position requires attentive supervision, assistance with boarding and exiting the bus, and effective communication with students and drivers.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus safely.

Ensure students are seated and secured properly during the ride.

Monitor student behavior on the bus and maintain a safe environment.

Provide assistance to students with special needs or disabilities as required.

Communicate effectively with bus drivers, school staff, and parents.

Assist in emergency situations and follow all safety protocols.

Report any incidents or concerns to the bus driver and school administration.

Help maintain cleanliness and order on the bus.
Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Patience, compassion, and a strong sense of responsibility.

Ability to pass a background check.

Previous experience working with children or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
