Position Title: Bus Aide for  Hellgate Elementary School District 

Hourly Rate: $16.00 per hour

Hours: Morning Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:45 AM and Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM. Candidates can apply for either or both shifts.

Job Summary:
Hellgate Elementary is seeking reliable and compassionate individuals to join our team as Bus Aides. The primary role of a Bus Aide is to ensure the safety and well-being of students during transportation to and from school. This position requires attentive supervision, assistance with boarding and exiting the bus, and effective communication with students and drivers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus safely.

  • Ensure students are seated and secured properly during the ride.

  • Monitor student behavior on the bus and maintain a safe environment.

  • Provide assistance to students with special needs or disabilities as required.

  • Communicate effectively with bus drivers, school staff, and parents.

  • Assist in emergency situations and follow all safety protocols.

  • Report any incidents or concerns to the bus driver and school administration.

  • Help maintain cleanliness and order on the bus.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Patience, compassion, and a strong sense of responsibility.

  • Ability to pass a background check.

  • Previous experience working with children or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
