Degrees and Certifications:
Welcome back! I am excited for a new school year. Please remember to check the website for homework and upcoming events.
The sixth grade team works closely together to create a positive learning environment for all students. The teachers try to plan activities throughout the year to provide the students with a wide range of fun events. October: The first week of October is an exciting time in Moiese, Montana. Every year the sixth graders attend the annual round-up at the National Bison Range. The students get to see the bison rounded up, blood tested, weighed, and sorted into two groups: those being sold and those being sent back onto the range. They also take a tour of the visitors' center and hike around the nature trail.
March: Happy St. Patrick's Day! The sixth grade team goes all out to prepare a St. Patrick's Day feast the students will always remember: corned beef and cabbage! The students get to help cut and clean the vegetables and get the lunch ready. Many assume they won't like the meal, but are pleasantly surprised when they get to taste it. They just keep coming back for more!
June: The end of the year is drawing near. To help create a memorable last week of school we have an awards day. Each student receives a unique award based on some of the teachers' favorite memories of that person. This is an excellent morning followed by games and a barbecue lunch. A great end to another great year!
