I am looking forward to teaching another wonderful group of fourth graders. I am very pleased to have this opportunity to be a teacher at Hellgate Elementary, especially in the fourth grade. Fourth grade is a great time to be learning about respect, community, and confidence.
Academically, we will be working hard in math, reading, science, social studies, spelling, and grammar. During the week it would be helpful to set aside time at home to work on spelling words, multiplication facts, and practice reading fluency.
Every fourth grade student will be using iPads in the classroom. We will be creating, sharing with each other, and problem solving with different activities while using the iPads. We will also be learning how to be responsible fourth graders. Most students will be switching classes for reading and math, which requires organizational skills. We will work daily on listening and organizational skills.
