• Welcome to Middle School Industrial Arts!

My name is Tyler Lind and I'm super stoked for this school year!

Within my class, students will use a number of hand tools and power tools to flex their creative muscles and produce a wide range of projects.  I'm committed to the learning and safety of every student who enters my classroom.  No matter what level of experience a student enters my class with, I will make sure they have the knowledge and information necessary to work in a safe and efficient manner.   Throughout the year, I will introduce a number of power tools specifically designed for carpentry and wood working.  The use of these tools will be led and supervised by me for the safety of all students within the classroom.

I’m excited to see what my students can accomplish throughout their time in my class.

A little background on myself; I have a bachelor’s degree with a math emphasis and a graduate degree in Curriculum and Design.  Beyond my academic career, I have spent the better portion of my life building custom homes. It is that exact experience that has helped me build a toolkit of skills that will be used throughout the instruction of my Industrial Arts classes.  These skills range from fine carpentry, like furniture building, to framing and metal work.  Outside of school, I love to downhill mountain bike, surf, ski or anything else that gets me outside and fills me with adrenaline.  I’ve also coached for the last few years and enjoy being involved in the local community in more ways than just teaching.
