Welcome! My name is Sarah Schwarz, I am the school counselor in Building 3 (4th-6th grade). I am very lucky to have been able to begin my career here at Hellgate Elementary. I enjoy getting to know all of the students throughout the time that I get to be their school counselor. This is my 8th year here and I can't believe how time is flying! My office is located in Building 3 just down from the Library. I am here to assist students on an individual level, in groups, as well as through classroom guidance lessons. I do my best to be consistently present throughout your child's day. I have recess duties, eat lunch with the students, assist in classrooms, and I teach character education lessons. My training aligns with the American School Counseling Association's national standards to promote student success in three domains: academic, career, and personal/social. My job is to advocate for kids and help them feel comfortable in the educational setting and to help them find success as active global citizens.
