Hello! My name is Brayden Byrne and I serve as the school nurse for Hellgate Elementary and Middle School. I was born and raised in Missoula and received my degree in nursing at the University of Portland. After working in Portland as a float pool nurse and getting experience on most adult inpatient units throughout the hospital I decided to return home. My love of nursing and health care first began through volunteering at at a camp for children with cancer. I just finished my 9th year of volunteering with this organization. This experience has helped me to discern nursing as a career but has also helped me identify pediatrics as the patient population I want to serve. I am entering my sixth year as Hellgate Elementary's school nurse and look forward to continuing to serve you and your children.
When I am not at school, I am an avid hunter, fly fishermen, and outdoorsmen. I will almost always have my black lab Caddis by my side who also likes to go on adventures.
