The Council of the Great City Schools developed, for all United States’ school districts to use, a “parent roadmap” in mathematics to provide guidance to parents about what their children will be learning in mathematics and how they can support that learning in grades K-8. The organization provides a network for school districts to share common problems, to exchange information, and to collectively address new challenges to deliver the best possible education for America’s youth.
These parent “roadmaps” for each grade level provide three-year snapshots showing how selected standards progress from year-to-year so that students will be college and career ready upon their graduation from high school, the major Common Core goal.
