    Mr. Mosbacher is a 1983 graduate of Billings West High School. After graduation,  he attended Dickinson State University on a cross-country/track scholarship. After two cross-country seasons, he transferred to the University of Montana. From here, he graduated in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Education and in 2006 earned his masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in technology education.  In the summer of 2008 he graduated from the Certificate Program in Geographic Information Science from Penn State University.  In addition he is certified as an ISafe instructor (internet safety).

    Immediately after graduation, Mr. Mosbacher was hired by Heart Butte High School on the Blackfeet Reservation. This was the inaugural year of the high school in which Mr. Mosbacher taught computer and business courses as well as being the head cross-country, boy's basketball, and track coach.

    After one year at Heart Butte, KG Public Schools in Gildford, Montana hired Mr. Mosbacher. Once again, he was the computer and business teacher in the middle and high school. In addition, he was an assistant track coach, later becoming the head coach.

    Six years later, in the fall of 1995, Mr. Mosbacher became employed by Hellgate Middle School. Initially hired as a keyboarding and elective teacher, he soon took over as the tech lab instructor and served as the interim tech coordinator.  Mr. Mosbacher also has taught as an adjunct professor at The University of Montana and The University of Montana College of Technology.

    Other employment areas included clothing salesman (KG Men's Store), shift supervisor (Stageline Pizza), manager (Budget Car Rental), farmhand (Big Sandy, Montana), staff sergeant (Army National Guard), and adult education teacher (Willard/ Dickinson Lifelong Learning Center).


    Mr. Mosbacher has been married to Hellgate's librarian, Rebecca (Nicklay) Mosbacher since 1988. Throughout their careers, they have taught in the same school in all but two years.

    Together they have two children, Christopher and Rachel. Christopher graduated from Sentinel High School in 2002, and then went to Northwest Nazarene University on a basketball and track scholarship. During his junior year he transferred to the University of Montana, competing on the track team. He currently is employed by Amazon in Seattle.  Rachel graduated from Sentinel High School in 2011, then earned her degree in elementary education from the University of Montana.  She currently is a third grade teacher at Lewis and Clark Elementary in Missoula.

    Since junior high, Mr. Mosbacher has enjoyed running. After his successful competitive high school and college years, he has continued running in road races around the United States. He has also completed thirty-six marathons in thirty-six states with a best of 2:49:11.

    Mr. Mosbacher's other hobbies include hiking, backpacking, and traveling.
