• Homework

Homework is a constructive tool in the teaching/learning process.  Purposeful assignments not only enhance student achievement, but also develop self-discipline and associated good working habits.  As an extension of the classroom, homework must be planned and organized, must be viewed as purposeful to the students, and should be evaluated and returned to students in a timely manner.

Teachers may give homework to students to aid in the students educational development.  Homework should be an application or an adaptation of a classroom experience.

If a student does not complete an assignment by the due date, they may turn it in one day late for 1/2 credit, but it must be entirely completed.

If a student misses school and the reason is excused, they will have the number of days they were gone to complete the assignment (ie.  excused absence of two days, the student will have two days upon return to complete and turn in assignment).
