• Meet Mrs. Hanks

As a native Montanan, I feel very fortunate to be teaching in the great state of Montana. I was born and raised in Montana and graduated from Sentinel High School. Upon graduating from Sentinel, I attended the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque where I played basketball for the Lady Lobos for four years and received a degree in elementary education with a double minor in science and social studies.

After graduating from UNM, I returned to Montana to begin my teaching career at the sixth grade level in Florence, Montana. One year later, I began teaching at Hellgate Middle School where I have been since 1997. In May 2000, I received my masters from Lesley College in Technology in Education.

I currently teach 3 sections of 6th grade math, 1 section of reading and 2 sections of 7th grade math.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband, son, twin daughters and dogs.
